My 3-Year-Old Cut Her Own Hair! – Before and After Photos

This past weekend, I noticed something different about my three-year-old daughter. She didn’t look quite the same. Something wasn’t right. So, I took a closer look.

She had cut her hair!!!

Apparently, she found a pair of scissors and decided to play beauty salon instead of taking a nap. She cut from her bangs to the middle of her head to a length of about a quarter-inch. It might as well been “buzzed”. She also cut a chunk off one side and the top.

We found locks of golden-blonde hair on her bedroom floor.

The back story is that Sydney’s hair has been very slow to come in and it was just getting some length to it; finally long enough for tiny pig-tails. Needless to say, her mom and I were pretty upset. Plus, she has a dance recital next weekend.

Our little girl’s hair looked awful!

What were we going to do? My wife scheduled an “emergency” haircut at a local salon. Here’s a before picture:

If you look closely you’ll see that all of her bangs are missing. That should be fun when its growing out! You’ll also see that her left side was much shorter than the right.

Keep reading for more of the story and to view a handful of “before and after” shots.

The Luck Factor in this Wedding Photo Capture

Phewww! It feels good to have the new site up and running! Sure, there are still a few things to tidy up here and there, but I suppose there always will be. Speaking of, did you take the new site tour?

Now that most of that is taken care of, I can get back to my real passion – creating images!

I currently have a few batches in the cooker that are just waiting to be served up. So, here we go… back to work.

As I was skimming through my images from Rachel‘s wedding in Norcross, Georgia, I came across the photo below. It’s certainly worth highlighting.

I’d like to claim that all of my photographs are strokes of genius. However, the reality is that sometimes I get lucky. Such is the case in this portrait.

Let’s talk specifics about this image: Why I like it and how a bit of luck was involved.
